With the Life Skills Literacy Leader training is designed to designed to “enhance literacy instruction for students with significant cognitive disabilities.”
I utilized so many of the activities and ideas presented during the training.
All students have a personal word wall (a laminated folder that words that they need spelled for them, are added weekly)
We make a weekly book using the daily predictable chart activity.
Phonics work is done almost daily as a whole group activity. We use mini whiteboards for easy implementation.
