Mo McMorrow began her music career in Ireland where she faced crippling performance anxiety to share her songs first of all with the patrons of the well known and loved Winkles in Kinvara (where Mo shared a song circles with John Prine) then on to venues all over Ireland. In 2006-7 she teamed up with Mary Shannon on banjo (of the famous Sharon Shannon Big Band) and they delighted audiences with an eclectic and original mix of Americana and traditional tunes and songs.
Mo moved to Austin Texas in 2008 and has since recorded two CDs, the second of which she engineered and produced herself at home with Richard Bowden as her whole band. Bowden fuels the songs with his Texas centered globally inspired musicianship and brings decades of experience with him. He currently plays with Ryan Bingham and is a member of The Maines Brothers Band and has played with Terry Allen for over 30 years.
Mo is a two time regional winner (Ballad Tree) of the New Folk song contest at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival.
